Terms of Service

The rules and agreements governing your use of Hireqo

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hireqo platform operated by Hireqo LLC. By creating an account or using Hireqo, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Key points: Hireqo connects verified employers with job seekers. Employers are responsible for all hiring decisions. Background checks are governed by the FCRA. Job seekers use Hireqo free of charge.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Hireqo. By using the platform you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms
  • If registering as an employer, your business is legally registered in the United States
  • All information you provide is accurate and current

2. Employer Accounts

2.1 Verification

Employers must complete business verification by providing a valid EIN, business registration documents, and authorized representative identification before posting jobs or accessing verification features.

2.2 Job postings

Employers agree to post only genuine job opportunities. Fake, misleading, or fraudulent job postings are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination. Employers must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws including anti-discrimination laws.

2.3 Background checks and FCRA compliance

Employers who use Hireqo's background check, FBI fingerprint, or drug testing services must comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This includes providing proper disclosure, obtaining written authorization, following adverse action procedures, and using consumer reports only for permissible employment purposes.

2.4 Subscription and billing

Employer subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 7 days before the renewal date. Refunds are provided at our discretion for annual subscriptions cancelled within 14 days of purchase.

2.5 Payroll and tax compliance

Hireqo's payroll feature calculates gross pay from approved timesheets and employee pay rates. It does not calculate or withhold federal, state, or local income taxes, and does not remit payroll taxes on your behalf. Employers remain solely responsible for wage and hour compliance (including FLSA and state overtime and minimum wage requirements), tax withholding and remittance, and all other payroll-related legal obligations. Hireqo is not a payroll tax service or a substitute for professional payroll, tax, or legal advice.

3. Job Seeker Accounts

Job seekers may use Hireqo free of charge. Job seekers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in their profile and applications
  • Not misrepresent qualifications, experience, or credentials
  • Consent explicitly before any background check or verification is run
  • Use the platform only for genuine employment purposes

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Hireqo to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Harass, discriminate against, or harm other users
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest user data
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account or system
  • Use the platform for any unlawful employment practice
  • Resell or commercialize access to the platform without permission
  • Upload malware or harmful code

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software on the Hireqo platform are owned by or licensed to Hireqo LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

You retain ownership of content you upload to Hireqo (resumes, documents, profile information). By uploading content, you grant Hireqo a limited license to use it to operate and improve the platform.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hireqo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, that job matches will result in employment, or that background check results will be free from error. Employers make their own hiring decisions — Hireqo is a tool, not a hiring authority.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hireqo's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid Hireqo in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, except where prohibited by applicable law.
