How we collect, use, and protect your personal information

Hireqo LLC ("Hireqo", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at hireqo.com and related services.
Summary: We collect only what we need to operate the platform, we never sell your data to advertisers, and you can request deletion of your data at any time.
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Employers: Name, email, company name, EIN, business address, phone number, payment information, and any documents uploaded for business verification.
- Job seekers: Name, email, phone number, location, work history, resume content, government-issued ID (for identity verification), and availability preferences.
- Both: Profile photos, messages sent through the platform, and any other information you voluntarily provide.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- GPS location data when using our mobile clock-in/clock-out feature (only with your consent)
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy)
1.3 Information from third parties
- Background check providers (when authorized by the job seeker)
- FBI fingerprint channelers (when authorized by the job seeker)
- Drug testing facilities (when authorized by the job seeker)
- Google OAuth (name, email, and profile photo when you sign in with Google)
- Payment processors (Stripe) — we do not store full card details
- To create and manage your account
- To match job seekers with relevant verified job postings
- To facilitate background checks, FBI fingerprint checks, and drug testing (with explicit consent)
- To process payroll and timesheets
- To send service notifications, interview reminders, and platform updates
- To verify employer businesses via EIN and business registration documents
- To comply with legal obligations including FCRA, GDPR (where applicable), and IRS requirements
- To prevent fraud and ensure platform security
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Employers and job seekers: When a job seeker applies to a job, their profile (excluding government ID) is shared with the posting employer.
- Background check providers: Only with your explicit written consent as required by the FCRA.
- Payroll providers: Tax and banking information necessary to process payroll.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with appropriate notice.
- Background check results are retained for the period required by FCRA (typically 7 years)
- Payroll records are retained for 7 years as required by IRS regulations
- Identity verification documents are deleted within 90 days of verification completion
- Form I-9 records are retained for 3 years after the date of hire or 1 year after termination, whichever is later, as required by federal law. If your employer participates in E-Verify, limited I-9 data is also transmitted to E-Verify for eligibility confirmation.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time
- FCRA rights: Dispute inaccurate background check results

We implement industry-standard security measures including 256-bit SSL encryption, SOC 2 Type II controls, encrypted storage for sensitive documents, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Hireqo accounts are not available to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors.
Employers in childcare-related industries may use Hireqo's childcare features to record limited operational information about a client's child (such as a first name, an authorized-pickup photo, or a medication log) on behalf of that employer. This is data provided and controlled by the employer, not collected by Hireqo from the child, and is addressed separately in our Client & Health Data Policy. If you believe a minor has created a Hireqo account or provided us with personal information directly, contact us immediately at legal@hireqo.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our platform at least 30 days before changes take effect.
